Joe is an American Travel Nurse and a citizen of the U.S. Brea is a Traveling Nurse Practitioner and also a U.S citizen. Both of these nurses are moving to Arizona and will require a nurse license for that state.
Joe has passed the NCLEX (National Council of State Boards Nursing Exam) and he has worked for one year. Most travel companies he has checked with require a minimum of one year of experience.
The NCLEX has two different exams, one for RN’s and Nurse Practitioner's and the other for LPN's (Licensed Practical Nurses)
Arizona is part of the NLC (Nurse License Compact). A Traveling Nurse who is a resident in a NLC state (Joe is from Kentucky) is eligible to practice in another NLC state.
A list of NLC states and a map is located at the bottom of this page.
Brea is an experienced Travel Nurse finishing her last assignment in Colorado. She has decided to return to a permanent position in Arizona. She realizes that she needs to do extensive research in order to market herself for her next career.
Both of these nurses can have their nurse licenses validated on the Nursys website.
Note: A Traveling Nurse may have to complete C.E.U.s to maintain their license. These are continuing education programs that vary in length and content from State to State.
