Florida Traveling Nurse

Map of Florida

A Florida Traveling Nurse requires a special nurse license to work in the state. The official website is www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa

Jane chooses Florida nicknamed "The sunshine state" for her first travel nurse assignment. . Jane will have to click on the three screens to get "RN for endorsement" This is where she can apply.

Here is our overview:

Jane can apply online, for her Florida Travel Nursing license. However she must be fingerprinted and have a criminal background check in the state of Florida. She must also request the fingerprint application and go to any local police department, county sheriffs office or some colleges, that have a police force and get finger printed.

When she sends in her application it goes to an address with a box number in Tallahassee, Florida. Then the money goes to a street address in Tallahassee. They only take a cashiers check or money order. They do not accept personal cheques.

Jane needs to verify the above information as things do change frequently. Florida is not part of the (NLC) Nurse License Compact.
